Setting tension:
Check your bow's holding weight on a hand held pull scale (a fish scale works well). Tie a loop to the scale on which the release will hook. Set the Tension Screw so that the release fires at 2-3 more pounds than the bow's hold weight on the same scale. You can then fine tune the tension while shooting the bow. Make sure to snug the set screw after each adjustment. (1 turn of the tension screw turn is 4-6 pounds in adjustment.)

Cocking:
Hold the safety open with your thumb. Press on the Hammer with your middle finger while pushing the Lever with your index finger. The hammer will snap into place when the Lever is pressed down far enough. Make sure you hear the hammer snap into place.

Shooting:
Once cocked, True BT releases will not fire unless the safety is held open. Pull to anchor. Once on your aiming spot, press and hold the safety open. Continue to pull while aiming. Once you reach the tension your release is set to, it will fire.

Note: The Hand Held model must be held and pulled at an angle in line with the arrow to fire at consistent pressure. DO NOT ROLL THE RELEASE...just pull.

Letting Down: At full draw, make sure the safety is all the way into its fully closed position. You can then let down safely. Do not just let up on it.
